01. Data
Symbols
그 자체로는 의미를 갖지 않고 존재하는 것. 식별 및 기록이 가능한 업무적 사실 등으로 규정
02. Information
Data that are processed to be useful; provides answers to "who", "what", "where", and "when" questions
관계에 따라 의미가 부여되는 data. 의미있게 구조화된 데이터의 집합
03. Knowledge
Application of data and information; answer "how" questions
유용한 일련 정보의 집합이며, 결정하는 프로세스이다. 정보를 의미있게 처리하고 활용할 수 있는 능력
04. Understanding
Appreciation of "why"
직관적(cognitive)이며 분석적(analytical)인 것으로 Knowledge를 이용하거나 이전의 Knowledge로 부터 새로운 Knowledge를 도출하는 프로세스
05. Wisdom
Evaluated understanding.
올바른 결정이나 판단을 하게하는 Knowledge와 Experience가 축적된 상태.
인식(consciousness)의 수준에 따라 좌우되며, 특히 도덕, 윤리적 코드에 따라 결정된다.
